Formats, privacy, and practical limits

JPEG, PNG, and WebP only, up to 20 MB per file and 40 megapixels. Animated images export as a still frame. Processing stays in this browser.

Files and generated results exist only for this tab session. Download any result you want to keep before leaving the page. Browsers may use temporary memory or disk cache while processing.

Frequently asked questions

Does quality 80 mean an 80 percent file-size reduction?

No. It is an encoder setting for JPEG and WebP. Actual size depends on the source; PNG does not use the same lossy quality control.

Does compression resize my photo?

No. This tool preserves pixel dimensions. Use Image Resizer if width and height also need to change.
