Does the generator crop a wide logo into a square?
No. It fits the image proportionally into each square canvas and leaves unused space transparent.
What is inside favicon.ico?
It is a multi-size PNG-based ICO containing the 16-, 32-, and 48-pixel images. Larger generated icons remain separate PNG files.
