Use PNG to SVG Converter when you need to trace a PNG into genuine vector paths. This guide follows a concrete workflow: trace a simple two-color logo sketch. Keep your source file so you can compare the result and repeat the conversion with different settings.
Work through the example
- Upload a PNG up to one megapixel with a clean background.
- Choose between 2 and 32 trace colors and convert the image.
- Inspect curved edges and simplify complex paths in a vector editor if needed.
Understand the output
Best for flat artwork and logos. Traces up to 1 megapixel with 2–32 colors; photos may produce complex results.
Tracing detects areas of color and turns their boundaries into paths. It does not restore detail absent from the PNG. A flat logo with clear edges usually traces more cleanly than a photograph with shadows and gradients.
Save and share carefully
The tool link is shareable; your uploaded document is not included in that link. Download the finished file before closing the tab. Reset clears the workspace. You can save the tool to Favorites to return to the same workflow later.
